RBC Canadian Open 5K Golf Run

Golf Canada, in conjunction with Landmark Sport Group Inc., is happy to announce the return of the RBC Canadian Open 5K Golf Run, to be held on July 22, 2017.

The five kilometre run or walk through the historic Glen Abbey Golf Course takes place just days before the pros take to the greens in the RBC Canadian Open. Participants will begin near the first tee of the championship course, making their way along the same path as many golf greats, to finish alongside the iconic 18th green; home of the famous Tiger Woods shot that secured his win at the 2000 RBC Canadian Open.

All participants will receive a t-shirt, race bib, official timing chip, and a free “any single day” ticket to the RBC Canadian Open, valued at $67, held from July 24-30, 2017. In addition, participants are invited to enjoy watching the British Open on big screen after the race in the Coors Light 19th Hole Beer Garden.

New for 2017, the Golf Club Championship challenges golf clubs to register as many of their members as they can to participate in the 5K run. The club with the most member participation will have their “any single day” ticket upgraded to a Golf Canada House Powered by Boston Pizza pass for any day during tournament week, for up to 50 Members. With views of six holes, and the chance to socialize with other golf enthusiasts, this enhanced experience will have your entire golf club talking for weeks after the tournament!

Online registration for the RBC Canadian Open 5K Golf Run closes on July 19. Register now at www.golfrun.ca to #RunTheAbbey, and experience the RBC Canadian Open like never before!
